Tri-Valley Herald Article Summary: Locked-Up Potential

Jacquinn Scales entered "the system," jail, when he was only 16-years-old and often "spent months locked down 23 hours a day."

of humanity, a side of humanity that is selfless and caring.

Furthermore, I was disgusted by the treatment of youth in jail, but inspired by the mentors who work to transform these troubled teenagers. I have gained a great appreciation for the role of social workers and for the necessity of correct rehabilitation.
