I see a lot of injustice within society, that the poem explains, but I guess I also miss a large portion of racism because my skin or race does not classify within a minority group. A prime example of racism in the novel, To Kill a Mocking Bird, is shown through Tom Robinson’s court case. Atticus shows us, and the jury that Mr Robinson is not guilty of his accused crime, but nevertheless is convicted just because he is black and his rival is white.
