The Hierarchy of the church can loosely described in a pyramid fashion. At the top is the Pope who is considered the closet man to God's will. At the bottom of the pyramid is the congregation. Yet in spite of that, without it Jesus' message would have been twisted. Nothing could ever get done because nobody would be responsible for the costly expenditures the church currently has. It keeps some churches alive, missions to poor and sick, does missionary work all over the world.
