He told the court the reason why Abigail accused Elizabeth Proctor was because she wanted him to herself. Mary Warren then Accused Mr. Proctor of witchery and He was hung. Abigail didn't get what she wanted.
Eventually the court realized that many who were killed were not witches. they then stopped hanging those accused of witchery. Those in Jail were released.
