The Weimar Republic
Between 1919 and 1925 the new German Government, the Weimar Republic, was faced with a number of crises which weakened it. These problems were caused mainly as a result of the war and although any government would have had difficulties in solving them the people saw democracy as weak. This public opposition towards the new Government was its greatest problem.

resistance caused them hardship and so were abandoned. The German government now lost the support of a majority of German's and so reached its lowest point.
These crises weakened the Weimar Republic greatly and caused many to lose faith in Democracy and so they wished for a strong leader who would solve their problems. The people saw the new government as weak the lack of support from the people was the Weimar Republics greatest weakness.
