Starting as a reserved, well mannered middle class lady with the grace, beauty and elegance of a wealthy woman she lost all that she had becoming a hard overworked, outspoken housewife of a poor petty clerk. The dreams of being one of those upper class ladies were crushed and her fate accepted, she was now appreciative for all that she had and took great measures to save it.
