This book presented the Holocaust in a most direct manner. Lifton's book depicts the
holocaust through the eyes of the prison doctors, as the prison doctors perceived their horror and

commit such experiments, let alone to commit them brutally and without remorse. I had heard
such stories in the past, but after reading Lifton's book I do not think I can look at military the
same way again. Military regimes seem to posses a special power that is too powerful for anyone
to control.
