The Lunch
For each reader a short story can be a different experience. Each interpretation of a story can be just as different as they are. In Joseph Monninger’s short story, “The Lunch,” he keeps a continuous flow. The three things I liked most about “The Lunch” was how Monninger gives a good description of how the narrator feels, how he reacts, and he also portrays the narrator’s sensitivity.

ex-wife. At the same time it seems like it was a moment he was waiting for he just did not know how to handle it. From the way Monninger portrayed the narrator and settings in the story, this is how I interpreted “The Lunch.” I enjoyed reading the story as I read it, and would suggest for someone to read it when they have nothing better to do. It was well written in my opinion.
