I am reading The Jungle by Upton Sinclair with 346 pages; I am on page 99. Apparently, the goal of Sinclair's novel is not great characterization. He barely even describes his characters, so it's difficult to choose favorite and least favorite ones.

favorite and least favorite characters, respectively, from Sinclair's Jungle. The characterization and plot in the novel are unimportant; the author only wants to express his views. One must wonder who Sinclair is kidding; capitalists who read the novel certainly will not suddenly believe in socialism. He could have at least made some interesting characters and plots in the process of creating his propaganda. Oh well, he wrote a financially successful book, so good for him.
