When these important factors are taken into consideration they are not always understood. When time is halted for an explanation to be made, things are understood more easily. Homer’s suspension and manipulation of time allows for not only easy understanding of facts, but of his own personal beliefs as well. As did Homer in the Iliad, many authors have and will continue to manipulate time in their works for the convenience of their reader.
