The Declaration of Independence and Letter from Birmingham Jail are great examples of how Americans were able to stand up against corrupt ways and break free from the chains of injustice. and logic of each of these documents, one is able to see that they are practically the same exact document, just written two different ways. In the end, both Thomas Jefferson and Martin Luther King Jr. were thinking along the same lines, and had the same beliefs that, “all men are created equal; that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights; that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.”
