…does a great majority convict people of a crime if there is not overwhelming evidence against them. Even the McCarthy era was not as severe, for many people argued against the trials. Popular belief was based on democracy and many wanted to keep their liberties and freedoms. Therefore, the repeat of such an event of mass hysteria is unexpected, however, this play must still be considered and we must judge our society and question everything.
