The revolutionary changes towards a life-like portrayal are great but when looking at later works we can clearly see that there are statues which come much closer to looking like real people. This leads us to understand that the Aristodikos was much like a living man but only in the Archaic period and to the people who had not yet seen such improvements in realism.
