The reason that Nikola Tesla has been omitted from history goes back to the feud with Edison. Edison was a businessman who made a lot of money and earned prestige by donating large sums to various places such as the Smithsonian Institute. Many of the technologies we take for granted today can be attributed to Nikola Tesla, however Edison used his influence to prevent Tesla from succeeding and receiving his recognition that he deserved.
