With over 60,000 Canadians who died fighting in the war, the price of the war was devastating to our country. What started in a war resulted in us getting independence and sovereignty in Canada. With many strained relations during the war, was the outcome worth it? Things such as racism and discrimination were big problems during the war.

but was still tough and difficult. People took on difficult jobs they’ve never done before, especially women.
All these things were the price to pay for the outcomes of the war; our independence, more rights to more people, better relations between the people of Canada, and many more important outcomes. I feel all the problems were worth the outcomes, but I wish it could have been easier and done with less of a loss.
