Saint Jude
St. Jude Thaddeus, or Labbaeus, is the patron saint of the hopeless with his feast day falling on October 28th. Many know him as the forgotten saint, as his name was almost forgotten in history, however, the Epistle of Jude is attributed to him, although many would disagree.

During the Middle Ages the first devotion to St. Jude arose. As Bibles became more readily available and the literacy rate rose, people began to read about this person named Jude. Thus, his devotion was created, and has grown through time. The twentieth century brought with it many wars and such, the devotion grew and spread until it is what it is today.
