A dreamer is someone who believes in things being better than the way they are, being perfect. Not many people have sub-par dreams. A politician is someone who seeks for personal or partisan gain. If you take a politician and a little bit of a dreamer and mix them together, you get a person such as Jane Addams or Edward Bellamy. I don’t think either Addams or Bellamys' views will ever work in America but Bellamy has a better chance because forms of his ideas have been implemented in other countries. Perhaps if the first government established this communal wealth than maybe it could have stood a chance, but a small one at that. Socialism will never work because people are not robots.
