“Smoke Signals”
Everything an independent film should be. Smoke Signals is an original with a great cast. A low budget film, Smoke Signals leaves you with a good feeling. It was very funny, but also had its bitter, angry, and sad moments, as well as a little poetry and lots of visual beauty.
The best part of the film for me was Irene Bedard. Besides her talent as an actress, she has confidence

The film ends up addressing or at least giving us something interesting to think about for all of these issues, but it just seemed like too many themes to address in 90 minutes.
The “Parallel Cut” in the film was the conclusion in the film with Irene Bedard putting fire to the trailer, and Adam Beech starting the old truck. This symbolized that the past was put behind, and the start of a new beginning.
