Slave Trade

When thinking about the slave trade and everything that goes along with it, it makes me angry. I feel that taking millions of Africans from their home, putting them through torture and treating them inhumanly, just to help the economy is very wrong. To do something like that to the human race is unfortunate. Even though there were some benefits of slave labor and slave trade, it was not worth all the torture that went …

…is only room to grow economically. Slavery is embedded in American prosperity. On the other hand, I feel that this could have happened without having had slaves do all the work. The country could have worked hard for itself rather than bringing in slaves for the easy way. What the Africans went through was horrible and unnecessary. The benefits of the slave trade and slavery for America do not outweigh the tragic consequences in Africa
