I found out later after five additional great days of skiing that there had been thirty two fatalities at this skiing area; twenty three of these in eight avalanche accidents. This covered a period of over thirty six years and one hundred and six thousand skier weeks.
In one of the best adventures of my life, helicopter skiing in the Cariboo area of British Columbia, I almost lost my life in an avalanche.
