Ironically, in today’s God fearing society, evil manifests itself more and
more often in the hearts of decent men. Daily, neighbors and friends commit
small acts of immorality as well as unspeakable crimes. At one time or another,
everyone strays from the straight and narrow path of excellence and holiness.
Whether it be gluttony, greed, sloth, envy, wrath, pride, or lust, everyone gives in
to the evil nature of man kind. Henry David Thoreau

highway of our virtue.” In fact, sin has become the creator of virtue and a
salvation from despair, monotony, and immorality. In today’s society, sadly, sin
is the only reason for righteousness and a necessary stepping stone on the path
to individuality and appreciation for life. Without one’s sins one becomes a
lifeless pawn in a game of chess between society and God.
