Sherman Anti-Trust Act of 1890 was decided by Congress . The act, named for
Senator John Sherman, was the first federal law made to deal to limit the power of
companies that controlled a high percentage of market. This act was designed to prevent
large organizations from stoping the competitions of smaller firms. This was needed so
that large companies couldn’t run and market just one product and charge out ragious
prices for it.
