of the scenes showing ordinary, hard-working Italian people brings out a tragedy experienced on human dignity and feel purely real while watching the film. The authentic environment taken place in the open-air markets and streets in Rome emphasize the realism that De Sica is trying to portray to his audience. I enjoyed watching this film and have never watched anything similar to it but definitely felt the emotions of De Sica and greatly enjoyed it.
