America was formed with the ideology of being free. Americans usually do what they like, even if they're hurting themselves, as long as they're not hurting anyone else. The law only steps in if an innocent bystander is being harmed. This leaves the door open for the second hand smoke attack on smokers. …the smoking section. There are many health risks involved with smoking but that is not incentive enough to ban it publicly. There is no reason to jump the gun and ban smoking publicly without some degree of thought. There are ways around banning smoking such as upgraded filtration systems or separate enclosed smoking sections. It is a persons right to smoke and it should be left up to them whether they choose to or not.
