School Violence
Since the incident at Columbine High School, 39 teenagers have had their lives taken in
over 22 incidents, and hundreds of others injured between April 1999 and April 2001
(Hunter 2). In reference to violence, Richard Riley, the Secretary of Education says,
“[Violence] has turned many of our classrooms into war zones.” (Toch 6). Reasons for
