Since the incident at Columbine High School, 39 teenagers have had their lives taken in
over 22 incidents, and hundreds of others injured between April 1999 and April 2001

right to their individuality. Wouldn’t this be wrong though to do to everyone? As stated
by Raymond Vasvary, a legal director of the ACLU, prevention efforts cannot be taking
because, “it would be a double tragedy if those who took so many lives in Littleton were
allowed to rob children across America of their right to freedom.” (“School Safety” 6).
