…Dante sees the glorified spirit of Aquinas in the Heaven of the Sun. When the Council of Trent met, there were only two books that would be placed on the altar; the Bible of course and St. Thomas's Summa Theologiae. In the year 1880, Aquinas was declared patron of all Roman Catholic educational establishments. There is a cell still in Naples that shows where Aquinas may have possibly lived. His day of feast is January 28th.
