If the two families, was at peace with each other instead of at war, Romeo and Juliet, need not conceal their actions and if the war between the families did not exist then the lovers would have certainly not died. Overall I think that fate played the biggest part within the play, as too much coincidence would have to be involved for the story to happen otherwise.
