In Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, Romeo and Juliet commit suicide because their love is forbidden. Their love for eachother is so great, that they can’t stand being apart, which drives them to their death. Their families always disliked one another, but since Romeo killed Tybalt in a duel because Tybalt killed Mercutio, the families despise eachother, and want one another dead. As a result of Tybalt’s death, Romeo is exiled from Verona.
