…rights of blacks. In the 1830s and 1840s, abolitionist newspapers in the North were created, but abolitionists remained a minority until many years later (Civil War: The Causes, 1). Both the Civil War and the American Revolution seemed inevitable because of the different cultures and interests in the opposing regions. Although the main issues of the wars were different, both the American Revolution and the Civil War were caused by people feeling powerless in their government.
