showed last 75 words of 732 total…there was tension between the adults, the children would amplify it, as in the scene on page 494 in which Father, Mother and Nancy discuss Jesus. Though I had to reread it several times to extract all the aspects of "That Evening Sun," I enjoyed doing it and analyzing Faulkner's words. He seamlessly combines the horror of addiction, childlike curiosity and selfishness, the macabre and his personal prejudices. This is a story that anyone could enjoy.
