…in law enforcement, alcohol remained abundant and the U.S. was unable to stop the moonshiners and mafia bosses. <Tab/>Prohibition was officially ended in 1933 with the enactment of the 21st amendment. The only real results from prohibition were organized crime, disrespect for the law, and the rise in drinking per person. Not only was prohibition ineffective, it was also damaging to the people and society it was meant to help.
