into the movement was key to its early success. Strong organization within the movement allowed it to evolve and change along with the counter movements. The Pro-choice movement is truly unique to these times. It did not have traditional sources and did not fall away after achieving its victories. It was in fact strongest when in a defensive stance. The fight over abortion rights continues today, and probably will well into this century and beyond.
