For every good thing there is a bad one. When speaking of love, it's oppisite and the monster that gnaws at our hearts is jealousy. But what exactly is jealousy? Well, like Francois de Bochefoucald stated, "In jealousy there is more self-love than love." …Hypocracy always revolves around jealousy, the perfect example is seen with Iago and Othello. Iago's jealousy commences with Othello's decision to make Cassio Liuetenant. This is seen in Act 1 Scene 1 lines 8-17, "Despise me if I do not....... Nonsuits my mediators." Iagos' revenge sparks of this and he plans to use Desdemona and Othellos' sullibility. In Act 2 scene 3,pg 339, Iago states, "His soul is so enfettered to her love...... How am I then a villian."
