In the end, Nicholas concludes that there is a disparity between what many students of anthropology are taught about race, because of the large differences in the many textbooks that are used. He says that anthropology teachers have to cover the issues of race and racism with their students, not just their colleagues, because if they don’t they won’t be fulfilling their obligation to the public.
