The mind is a very powerful tool and plays a huge role in a person’s life especially in these two characters. One character is from “An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge” by Ambrose Bierce and the other in “The Yellow Wallpaper” by Charlotte Perkins Gilman. Although their particular situations differ between each character, one thing is constant, the affects of their mind upon their circumstances.
