…to walk home. When I got to the gates, I stood there, remembering, one at a time, all the things we did together, all the places we had been. The final thing I saw was the twinkle in her eye and the smile on her face when she promised me that she would never leave me. Then I walked home, knowing I would never get to kiss her sweet, gentle lips good night ever again.
