Introduction to the stste of English in Iran

These reasons could be outlined as follows:  large number of university lecturers who are graduates of English-speaking countries  the few number and low quality of translated books  the English journals to which universities are subscribed  existence of international seminars and conferences which are all in English Because of these reasons some attempts have recently been made in Iran to improve EFL literacy practice at university level.
