Today in this world of fast food restaurants, car side-to-go, and shopping malls it is really hard to think of someone living off the land. However, it is not just one person but an entire tribe. Clans and families working together in order to survive in their remote parts of the world. …one with the environment. Neither hunting and gathering or horticulture is the better over the other. For the Hopi tribe it is corn that is their source of live, for the Baka it is honey, any game they can kill, and whatever plant the can find. It works for them in their area, in their forest or in their desert or in their culture. It is whom they are and how they want to live.
