Both of these civilizations were very successful and made many major contributions to the world we live in today. Both Romans and Greeks had their own governments that were pretty successful. Both governments were unique, successful, and are not a copy of other civilizations. The Romans and the Greeks both believed in laws. They both believe that their laws are there to secure equal justice and protect their citizens.
