One 19th century chemist who made many discoveries and had many
accomplishments, which lead to the better of mankind, is Friedrich August Kekule. His
Benzene ring finding made him a pioneer in the world of chemistry, even though chemistry
was not very highly regarded in his day. Kekule’s success can be attributed to long years
of hard work and perseverance. Friedrich August Kekule founded structural organic
chemistry and is best know for his “ring”

1895 Friedrich August Kekule became ennobled by Kaiser Wilhelm II of prussia.
It was at this time that he would be known as Friedrich August Cecile on
Stradonitz until his death one year later in Bonn.
