This study found that when mothers rated the child’s adjustment that girls would experience greater maladjustment problems than boys. I feel that more research needs to be conducted across all states as domestic violence is a worldwide problem. However, I think it is extremely important to only focus on the effect of witnessing domestic violence rather than looking at gender differences.
