<Tab/>Almost all religions have always spoken loudly against euthanasia. There seems to be within the consciousness of man, the belief that it is wrong to speed up death. The medical profession is dedicated to prolonging life and so cannot now do the reverse- to speed up death. To do so would mean undoing several principles which have evolved since the beginning of humanity.
