Enlightenment vs. American Revolution

The American Revolution very successfully represented the ideals of the enlightenment. The enlightenment was all about reform which was what the American revolution was. Even though enlightenment is constantly happening and the human race is always going though change and advancing, and no one can see the side affects. The people who are in charge often do not like change because they do not care about the society as a whole they only care about themselves and the richer get richer while the poor get poorer.
