The high accident rate in Israel has always been a problem. People die in vehicle accidents every day, but our government to be more interested in other issues, and fails to solve this problem. It's a pity that they don't realize the severity of it. And finally, driver's licence holders should be re-tested every few years. Is this unfair? After all, if a good driver could pass his driving test once, why should he have any problem passing it again? It's the bad drivers that will fail their second tests and will then be where they belong - off the road.
