…showed last 75 words of 634 total…and it leads to his isolation from the community. I didn’t find one answer to the question about why he’s using a black veil to cover his face. Probably, there isn’t just one answer. Perhaps Hawthorne wants us to find the answer that we like. Whatever the answer might be, the minister is truly an interesting character.
