and The Last Seduction (1994). There were two TV movies inspired by Indemnity one made in ’54 and then a remake of the previous in ’74 which is said to be not worth being even referred with the original Made-for-TV movie.
“Double Indemnity” was a hit although it wasn’t expected to be. From the given evidence it is easy to see why this was and why people refer it to as the classic definitive of film noir.
