In our present culture, we (and when I say “we”, I am referring to the majority of society) think we know about a person's background after a couple of simple facts; and what we don't know, we automatically assume based upon stereotypes and limited interaction with few people who share the same traits. think (or may WANT to think)--we all think differently, we all behave differently, we all act differently, and more than anything, we all live differently. We can't just slap a label on someone's entire lifestyle by knowing one or two tidbits of information about him or her—we have to take the next step. We have to throw out the stereotypes, kick away the generalizations, and approach everything knowing nothing. Ignorance is, indeed, bliss.
