After several conflicts between different nations for control of the new world; England and the British colonists gained control of the majority of the Atlantic coast of the New World. Independence not only established the separation of the American colonies from England; it established the birth of a nation called the United States.
The originators of the Declaration of Independence had proven a case for revolution. They based it on the natural rights of man in conjunction with establishing the injustices of a king. Based upon these two issues, the colonists were morally right and justified in their quest to replace an “illegitimately perceived” government.
