The Declaration of Sentiments and Resolutions was written on July 19th, 1848 during the Seneca Falls Convention. It was “called by the Women of Seneca County, N.Y., and held at the village of Seneca Falls, in the Wesleyan Chapel, on the 19th and 20th of July, 1848.” A total of three hundred people attended the convention including forty men to discuss the rights of women in America.
