What creates controversy? Controversy is caused when an idea or a thought contradicts the traditional social norms. But without ideas, we would not be where we are today. Art has seen so much metamorphosis that comparing classical art and contemporary art one sees drastic differences. …whole may be the greatest gift art can give us. You may disagree with this interpretation. You may just think the paintings are entertaining, aesthetically pleasing, or not. You may be completely offended by them. Great! That's what art is all about. But to dismiss controversial works because of personal belief, to stifle art, thereby constraining debate is a crime in it self. Thus, true controversial art is not a crime, but stifling creativity is.
